Resources for PALM scheme employers

On this page

Welcome

This page contains useful resources and information for Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme employers. Here you can find information on mobilisation and demobilisation, recruiting and subcontracting, employer requirements, worker accommodation and skills development.

Announcements

PALM scheme employers are encouraged to remind long-term PALM scheme workers that they may need to lodge a tax return for each fiscal year they work in Australia. Lodging a tax return ensures that workers pay the correct amount of tax and receive any tax refunds they may be entitled to.

To support your workers, a Lodging a tax return factsheet is available on the PALM scheme website, and it explains:

  • why lodging a tax return is important
  • how to complete a tax return
  • where to find assistance in lodging a tax return.

Employers and workers can also refer to the Australian Tax Office website for more information.
