How to join the PALM scheme

The Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme helps Australian businesses address workforce shortages, with a focus on employment in rural and regional communities.

To become a PALM scheme employer, your entity or business must satisfy a series of checks to ensure that you are reputable, financially sound and operationally able to fulfil the requirements of the scheme.

Once you have checked your eligibility, complete the single application form to become an employer under the PALM scheme. The minimum processing time of an application is 6-8 weeks after all required documentation has been submitted (unless there are exceptional circumstances).
