Add-on skills training
The add-on skills training program is designed to ensure each worker has access to training in their first or second year of work in Australia.
The add-on skills training program is currently being reviewed with further advice to be provided in the coming months.
Pending any changes, the program will continue have a priority focus on 3 units of competency: first aid, basic English and basic computer skills.
If in the event a training request relates to competencies outside of these areas, this will require exception-based consideration by the Pacific Labour Facility (PLF).
The add-on skills training program is funded by the Australian Government through the PLF. There is no cost to workers.
Any questions regarding these arrangements can be directed to training@pacificlabourfacility.com.au.
