The Australian Government has finalised arrangements to support the implementation of the memorandum of understanding entered into between the Australian and Vietnamese governments to support citizens of Vietnam to work in the Australian agriculture sector.

The arrangements will allow up to 1,000 Vietnamese nationals to be in Australia at a point in time to undertake short-term and long-term agriculture related work for up to 4 years, to be employed in primary industry sectors. 

The expression of interest (EOI) is now open for PALM scheme employers. All applications need to be submitted by 11:59PM, Friday 6 September 2024. Late applications cannot be accepted. 

Any employer seeking to recruit workers from Vietnam under these arrangements must submit an EOI and be found suitable by the assessment panel.
