Applications open for aged care expansion program

The Australian Government has committed to expand the number of funded aged care training places under the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme.

The aged care expansion (ACE) program is designed to help both large and small aged care providers secure qualified, long-term care workers from the Pacific and Timor-Leste.

The goal of the ACE program is to partner with aged care approved employers to deliver at least 500 new trained workers in 2023.

Through the program, workers will complete their Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) and have the right to work with the same approved employer for up to 4 years.

Approved employers in the aged care sector are now invited to cover the cost of training through the ACE program. If you are interested in participating, please download the expression of interest pack and attachments below.

Expression of interest submissions are due by 26 February 2023. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit a fully costed and developed proposal for review.
